BRILLIANT EXPANSION PROJECT

COMMUNITY IMPACT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Brilliant Expansion Project Community Impact Management Committee (CIMC) was formed in 2003 as part of Columbia Power Corporation's (Columbia Power) commitment to prevent and resolve anticipated and unanticipated community impact issues resulting from project construction. The committee also provided ongoing support and input to encourage positive community impacts and benefits throughout the project.

In monthly meetings, the committee was briefed on the status of the project and is asked to provide advice, suggestions or recommendations to assist in timely management and resolution of impacts to the local communities.

The committee members played a vital role by acting as "sounding boards" and as advisors to Columbia Power on community or municipal concerns relative to the project.
