EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of Columbia Power Corporation's environmental policy, sustainability is mandated as the company's core value and Columbia Power is committed to integrating environmental considerations into the various aspects of its business.

It is Columbia Power's goal to develop, operate and maintain comercially viable and environmentally sound hydroelectric power projects for the benefit of the Province and the residents of the Columbia Basin. 

Columbia Power produced and sold 2,575 GW.hr of green, emission-free electricity in 2011 and offset the need to import electricity that has been generated from sources that may have had emissions associated with them. As a member of the Canadian Electricity Association, Columbia Power subscribes to the Sustainable Electricity Program and is continually idenifying ways to incorporate the principles of sustainability in our day-to-day business.
